Save the dates – 24-27 April – for the 2026 annual Kilfenora Traditional Irish Music Festival.
Expect as ever a great mix of events and sessions, including the open-air céilí in the Square on Sunday with the great Kilfenora Céilí Band, preceded by young North Clare musicians.
For our main concert on Saturday night, as often, we feature many award-winning musicians. Accordionist Diarmuid Ó Meachair was TG4 Young Musician of the year (2022), All-Ireland melodeon champion when just 19, and has also won many sean nós singing competitions. Dónal McCague was TG4 Young Musician of the Year (2013); other awards include the Fiddler of Dooney, Sligo and the Fiddler of Oriel, Monaghan. They will be accompanied by Clare’s own concertina and piano whiz Jack Talty. Included on the bill is the all-star singing trio MNA from North Clare (Kathleen Lynch, Theresa Garrihy & Kate Daly) accompanied by Pat Dowling. And opening the night will be Éabha Morrow – 2025 Meitheal prize winner, and already both a serial youth All-Ireland winner and junior Reavy International Fiddler of the Year 2025.
